Friends in Need Foundation is a special fund to provide people
with limited financial resources the funds to provide medical attention for
critically ill pets.
In Memory of Spook
 |
The Foundation began by a generous donation from the owners of Spook, a senior
Siamese cat with diabetes. Spook was extremely vocal and loved to "talk." He had
a colorful lifestyle and enjoyed many activities, thanks to the medical support
provided by his dedicated owners and our staff. One of Spook's greatest
adventures was packing his insulin and heading north to the BWCA where he helped
to navigate and protect the food. Spook eventually lost his battle. He died from
complications associated with chronic liver disease. |
Criteria for Support from the Foundation
The doctors will determine who will receive financial help from the foundation
based on the following criteria.
 |
Established PVPH client with a history of committed pet care.
|
 |
Financial constraints of pet owners.
|
 |
Need for surgical or medical procedures to promote the health of the pet. The
Foundation generally does not provide funds for routine healthcare such as
vaccines or heartworm.
